From Air Force Inspector General, General Steven Polk.
Ed - Many thanks for all you do to recognize our enlisted aides
and for your work in support of the Hennessy competition.  Your efforts are appreciated by all.  Henrietta and I enjoyed visiting with you (at the Enlisted Aide of the Year award ceremony).

From Alfred Rudolph, Director, Secretary of the Navy's Executive Dining Facility; President, IFSEA's Washington, DC-Pentagon Branch and frequent military awards traveler.
I am looking forward to enjoying  the San Diego conference.  Actually, the conference in San Diego in 1999 was my very first.  I'd just returned to the states after working in Korea and decided to join IFSEA.  I was overwhelmed by the conference and IFSEA members and the rest.... as you know has since been a committed relationship with this great association.

From SSgt Frank L. Williams III, USMC.
I am currently deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I will have my wife send my next two years worth of membership fees within the next two weeks. When I do get back I hope to get some of the reservist in my I&I unit to join our association.  Please tell everyone to keep up the great work.  If and when I can I'll try to read my emails and pass on the job you all are doing for the Cooks out here.

From International Board member, John Kukulica, Reno-Tahoe Branch, to a prospective student member
IFSEA is a great organization.   The Las Vegas Branch is a great one,  made up of very fine students and professionals in our industry.  If you sign up (which I think you'd love if you did),  you'd need to attend 1 meeting a month,  usually followed by a dinner at an outstanding location each month.   In Reno those dinners are $12.50 per student member,  and you get to network with leaders in the industry,  as well as try new and interesting cuisines.  I'm not sure how many student members there are in Las Vegas from UNLV,  but in Reno we have about 20 to 25 student members who have a lot of fun and are really advancing their educations in culinary, hospitality and food service.   A few weeks ago we had our annual conference in Dallas, TX.   If you can go,  its a great educational opportunity.  If you can't, the organization understands.  Being that your time is volunteered,  you give what you can.  Only you can determine how much that is, so if you can give at least a few hours a month (3 or 4),  that's great.  Of course,  once you start digging it,  you tend to make more time for it as the relationships you develop are priceless and life-long.

From Past Board Member and frequent Conference Chairman, David Kinney, CFE.
Over the 19 years in IFSEA, I have been honored to serve in many capacities from Health & Welfare Chairman, Newsletter Editor, Oktoberfest Chairman, Branch VP two years, Branch President two years (all in the Orange Empire Branch),  Reverse Raffle Chair, Local Charity Fundraiser Chair, Branch VP, Golf Tournament Chair (New Mexico
Branch), International Board Member six years, International Awards Committee, International Certification Chair, International Membership Chair, very proudly International Education Chair, International Conference Chair or Co-Chair, Celebration Dinner MC for six
International Conferences (including 2004) and other opportunities I have forgotten.   For a guy who entered IFSEA within months of entering the foodservice industry and was virtually raised in the business by IFSEA, I have been truly blessed to be a part of such a great group of people I now and always call friends.  I have enjoyed every minute of these opportunities to serve IFSEA.
