Eligibility - Individuals engaged in the foodservice and hospitality industry, who meet the requirements of the Bylaws and such other requirement as the Board of Directors may establish, shall be eligible for membership in the Association. Membership is not transferable, except as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual. No one shall be eligible for membership who is not also a member of a Branch chartered by the Association if one exists in the locality of the applicant's employment. If there is no such Branch at the time of application, the applicant may be accepted for membership as Global Branch Member, provided all other requirements are met and the applicant agrees to become a member of a local Branch if one is organized at a later date. No person may hold more than one membership.
Active IFSEA Members
New Active IFSEA Member: $49
Active IFSEA Members are foodservice and hospitality industry professionals who currently hold positions in the industry as management, ownership, purchasing, dietetics, research, teaching, or consulting. Active IFSEA Members also includes any person engaged in selling products or services to the industry.
Retired IFSEA Members
New Retired IFSEA Member: $49
Retired IFSEA Members include any member who retires and severs all connection with the food and hospitality industry and profession as a means of livelihood. Retired members may hold elective office and voting privileges.
Student IFSEA Members
New Student IFSEA Member: $20
Student IFSEA Members must be enrolled and accepted as a full-time student at a post-secondary school, college, or university in a foodservice, hospitality, or foodservice management course at time of membership application.
-Under the direction of the Branch to which they belong, student members may form their own Student Branch and elect their own officers.
-High school students may form Hospitality Clubs under the direction of a Senior Branch.
-Student members may be elected or appointed to International Office. They are eligible to serve as Chairperson on an International Committee. Student members should never serve as President of a branch, unless two-thirds, or more, of the members of the branch are student members.
Allied IFSEA Members
New Allied IFSEA Member: $49
Allied IFSEA Members are members who are not connected to the foodservice industry but would like to be a part of IFSEA. Allied Members include spouses of an Active member, a medical doctor who enjoys the activities and people, an employee who is not at a level that would normally be considered an "Executive."
Corporate IFSEA Members
New Corporate IFSEA Member: $14 (upon company paying corporate fee)
Corporate IFSEA Members are members who currently work for a company that is a corporate company member of the association. Corporate Companies may be local, regional, national, or international but must operate in the foodservice and hospitality industry or work directly with the industry.
International IFSEA Members
New International IFSEA Members: $49
International IFSEA Members include members who do not live in the 50 United States. Members include citizens from countries overseas as well U.S. Territories.
