Earning an IFSEA Certification will demonstrate your skills, talents, and experience in the foodservice and hospitality field.

There are two ways to pay for the certification exam:
1.  Pay Yourself Out-of-Pocket
2.  Pay through the U.S. Navy Voucher Reimbursement program


Process to Pay Out-of-Pocket
1.  Decide which IFSEA Certification designation to earn
2.  Print the IFSEA Certification Application
3.  Mail a completed application and payment to IFSEA Headquarters
4.  Choose a Proctor to oversee your exam
5.  Your Proctor must mail a completed Proctor Application to IFSEA.  Your Proctor must be either a MCFE or superior who is not in the industry
6.  Once IFSEA has received your application and payment, we will mail you the Study Guide
7.  When you are ready to take the exam, e-mail IFSEA at HQ@ifsea.com with the date, time, and location of the exam
8.  IFSEA will either mail the written exam to your proctor or the password if you are taking the exam Online
9.  Once the results are available, IFSEA will mail them to you


Process to pay through U.S. Navy Voucher Reimbursement
*Important Note:  The U.S. Navy Voucher program only reimburses costs of the certification exam.  It does not cover the costs of Symposiums or Classes.
1. You must receive eligibility for a U.S. Navy Voucher Reimbursement through the Navy COOL Office before applying to take an IFSEA Certification Exam
2. Instructions to apply for the reimbursement program through Navy COOL can be found on the Navy COOL's website at
www.cool.navy.mil - just look under the Costs & Resources tab
3.  Once IFSEA receives word from Navy COOL that you are eligible for the Navy Voucher, you may proceed to apply to take the exam
4.  Decide which IFSEA Certification designation to earn
