Certifications through Veterans Affairs GI Bill Reimbursement
|
Earning an IFSEA Certification will demonstrate your skills, talents, and experience in the foodservice and hospitality field.
Process to Pay Using Your GI Bill Reimbursement
1. Decide which IFSEA Certification designation to earn
2. Print the IFSEA Certification Application
3. Mail a completed application and payment to IFSEA Headquarters
4. Choose a Proctor to oversee your exam
5. Your Proctor must mail a completed Proctor Application to IFSEA. Your Proctor must be either a MCFE or superior who is not in the industry
6. Once IFSEA has received your application and payment, we will mail you the Study Guide
7. When you are ready to take the exam, e-mail IFSEA at HQ@ifsea.com with the date, time, and location of the exam
8. IFSEA will either mail the written exam to your proctor or the password if you are taking the exam Online
9. Once the results are available, IFSEA will mail them to you along with a Receipt of Payment for the exam
10. To receive reimbursement: Submit the Receipt, Exam Results, and a VA Form 22-1990 to the VA Office for your city. More in-depth information and forms regarding the GI Bill Reimbursement can be found on the Veterans Affairs website. Click here for a link to the website
